October Half Term 2022
"Love one another, as I have loved you." John 13:34

Last newsletter before the half term break – it seems to have gone really quickly this half term. We’ve had a good half term in school and children have settled in really quickly. You will receive a class update newsletter today also and there will be an opportunity to have a look at some photos from things your child’s class have been up to recently. This is available through the class pages link on the school website. Have a great half term everyone – see you when we come back!

INSET Day

A reminder that school is closed on Monday 31st October for staff training. Children return to school on Tuesday 1st November.

Building Materials on the Road

We have been made aware that some building materials (bits of wood, nails, etc) have been found in Redlake. Please be aware of this when travelling around that area.

Pedmore Thrive

You can see this week’s copy of Pedmore Thrive here.

Secondary School Applications

The closing date to apply for a secondary school place is Monday 31st October 2022, for anyone due to start secondary school in September 2023. Any applications received after this date will be classed as a late application unless there are exceptional circumstances.

If there are any parents who are struggling to apply online, a paper form can either be sent to your home address or to the school for completion. Please let us know if you need any further information/help with applications.

Black Country Foodbank

Thank you for all your support. Here is the certificate received from The Black Country Foodbank. Thanks to your donations we collected enough to provide 532 meals and 25 toiletry parcels! Thank you!

Earrings and Other Jewellery

A reminder that jewellery is not allowed to be worn when children are taking part in P.E. – all watches and earrings have to be removed. This includes earring retainers. Watches and earrings are also the only jewellery allowed to be worn at school at any time.

Online Research

Parents and children who have been involved in some research into online habits have spoken really positively about what’s been involved and how it’s helped with their discussions at home. If you would like to be involved, keep a look out for information coming your way soon.
