Black Country Week Dressing Up Day

Wellies and Walkies Fundraising

My children, Flynn and Cassidy are taking part in the Wellies & Walkies fundraising event for Mary Stevens Hospice.
Together with our cockapoo puppy, Chilli, they will be completing the sponsored walk to help raise both funds and awareness for the incredible work the hospice provides to local families facing life-limiting illness.
As a nurse, I have seen first-hand the importance of compassionate care and support during difficult times, and we felt this was a wonderful opportunity for the children to get involved in supporting such a special local charity.
We know that many families have been touched by cancer in some way, and we hope to do our small part in helping raise awareness and support for the hospice’s vital services.
Our fundraising page can be found here:
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Kind regards,
Lydia Callen

Forest School & PGT

Forest School
Year 4 have patiently waiting for forest school all year and they were so excited to come out this week!
On the first session with all classes we chat about what we want to do over the coming weeks and there is always a huge discussion about food!
These children said we just want to play! This innate need to play is crucial for all children and it has definitely changed over the last 14 years I have been a forest school leader.
The joy of being able to play in a way that they wanted, trying out new things, enjoying the new resources in the woods that they hadn’t seen before. Being able to be free to chat and socialise with each other was just lovely to watch.
I know I sound like a broken record but honestly it is the best feeling being able to facilitate these opportunities that give children such joy.
Can’t wait to see what the next few weeks bring!
Talent Show
It is very exciting in school with lots of chatter about the talent show and I great bombarded with questions whenever I am in!
You will have received a letter about the show now with a form to complete if you child wants to audition.
I have also spoken to the whole school in assembly today so hopefully their questions have been answered. But if in any doubt don’t hesitate to contact me.
Have a lovely weekend.
