It’s been a few weeks since the last newsletter, including the Easter break, so there’s a bit to tell you about in this one! We have some King’s Coronation things to share with you; some pictures and info about the coronation picnic we held this week; pictures and info about Year 4’s visit to the hippodrome; as well as some information about events happening during half term.

May Half Term Sports Days
After the success of the last sports days in the Easter holidays, new dates have been planned for May half term. You can find all the details here.

Coronation Picnic on the Field
On Thursday, when school was closed to children for voting, Ruth Hill organised a coronation picnic on the field. It was a fantastic turn out, so thanks to all of you who came along. All of the activities and stalls were there and gave their time and resources freely – which was fantastic. Here is a list of all the local businesses who came along:

All donations are going towards developing a quiet and reflective garden at the bottom of the school field. An amazing £650.00 was raised! Thank you to everyone involved.


Card Sale for Charity
Two Year 3 boys would like to sell some Pokemon and football cards to raise some money for Greenpeace. They will be doing this on Wednesday break and lunchtime on the playground. Cards/stickers will cost 10p for a normal one and 20p for a special/shiny one. Please send your child with some change if they would like to purchase any of these cards.

Next week is SATs week for our Year 6 children. We are confident in them all and we’re sure they will all do the absolute best that they can.
Year 4 Trip to Birmingham Hippodrome
Year 4, along with Year 4 from St Mary’s, went to see the Welsh National Opera perform at the Hippodrome this week. It was a fantastic show with lots of songs the children knew and opportunities for them to get involved!




Coronation
Children have done some activities in class today to mark and celebrate the King’s Coronation this weekend. You can see some photos below, including photos of the artwork currently being shown on the windows at the front of school. Pop by and have a look over the weekend.
