Snow in November! Children have loved seeing some snow this week. Next time we have some we’ll remind everyone to come in wellies so we can go out on the field and enjoy playing in it a bit more. There were some great snowmen made by children who were at forest school. Sadly all melted away now. Have a good weekend – see you next week.

Art Displays
Our display boards in the corridors around school have all been updated with artwork created by children, based on a specific artist or style. We thought it would be good to share these displays with you – have a look at the pictures below. We have some fantastic artists in school. Some of the work they have produced is amazing, especially when you consider their ages!
Forest School
What a week in forest school! I think in the 13 years I have been the forest school leader at Pedmore, Tuesday was the first to have a real proper snow day!
Year 5 had the best time, building snowmen, making snow bricks for an igloo as well as toasting marshmallows and getting warm around the fire.
Our Thursday group used tools to chisel the ice and coloured water to experiment with the ice!
So much child led learning and great team work and most importantly lots of fun!
Children Charity Champions- Acorn Hospice
After our successful mufti day collection and a lovely visit from the hospice, the school council have been busy preparing for the next event.
They shall be having a stall at the PTA Christmas Fayre. There will be a teddy tombola, second hand toy stall as well children selling some crafts they have made. If you have any donations for their stall, please bring them into school on Thursday/Friday please.
We shall be in the Year 5 classroom so do come along to see us. All monies raised will go to the hospice.
Santa Trail
Every Saturday in December I run Christmas events in forest school.
It’s great fun for all the family and children follow a trail to find Santa. On the way children make crafts, toast marshmallows and see Santa in his cosy bell tent grotto! Plus there’s drinks and mince pies for you too!
There is limited tickets left so be quick if you
fancy it! Booking via this link
