Christmas Tree Festival
WOW, what a response! A massive thank you from all of us for the gingerbread decorations sent in from all of you this week. We were given an extra tree at St Peter’s and we have more left to do a tree at school! There were some wonderful decorations sent in, with some fantastic imaginative designs. You can visit St Peter’s over the weekend and see our display and trees – and there’s even a special visit from Santa on Saturday!

🎄🎄🎄 Christmas Fact 🎄🎄🎄
The name ‘Christmas’ comes from the old English phrase Cristes maesse, which means ‘Christ’s mass’. But what about ‘Xmas’? Lots of people think this is just a modern-day abbreviation – but it actually dates back to the 16th century! The ‘X’ is said to represent the Greek letter ‘Chi’– the first letter in the Greek word for Christ, Χριστός (pronounced ‘Christos’).
