I hope you’ve all had a good week. This is such a busy half term that it flies by – summer holidays will be here before we know it! Have a good weekend everyone ☀️.

PSI Sports Holiday Courses

Details of some holiday courses, including football and olympic activities, can be found here. The courses are run by PSI Sports.

Pedmore Thrive

This week’s Thrive focuses on rest, something very few of us get enough of. You can read it here.

A reminder that uniform, including PE kit, still needs to follow our uniform policy. You can see that policy here. We are also keeping the procedure that children come into school in their PE kit on the day they have PE, when we return in September.

Hats and Suncream

As we head towards sunnier and hotter weather (hopefully) please make sure your child has their sun hat with them, and that you apply suncream before they come to school. Thank you.

Bridle Path

When waiting for the gates to open in a morning, we would ask if you could wait somewhere else instead of lining up in front of the drives of the houses on the bridle path. This is causing some difficulties for them when they need to take cars off drives in a morning. Could you either line up the other side of the school gates, down the bridle path which goes towards Ferndale Park; wait on the school field (we will open up the field gate in a morning); or wait down the field path. Thank you for your understanding.

MAT Update

As you may recall, we held a parent consultation at the beginning of the year around Pedmore joining the Elements Diocesan Multi Academy Trust. I’ve been waiting to be able to tell you a final date of when this all will happen, but the actual conversion date keeps being put back by the DfE or by Dudley LA. We were hoping it was going to happen before the end of the summer term, and it still may, but it also may be in September. When I know any more for definite, I will let you know. In the meantime, here is another link to the questions and answers that came from the parent consultation back in January.

Book Fair

It was great to be able to have Primary Books in again to share stories and activities with the children, and offer the opportunity for you to purchase books for your child. Thank you for all your support.
