Short newsletter this week. It’s been very busy in school this past week, with more things happening next week. It definitely isn’t ‘winding down’ much! Have a good weekend.
Thank You
A massive ‘thank you’ to Mr Scott, whose family-owned business Quality Metal Products Ltd has donated a fantastic bicycle and scooter shelter at the top of the school field. From September this can be used by children who wish to ride their bikes or scooters to school. We will send out more details next week. As you can see, it’s a sizeable shelter and we can’t thank Mr Scott and his business enough for their amazing generosity in providing this for our children.

Gold Award
Kate Yates, in Year 5, has achieved a Brownie Gold Award; she is the first brownie to achieve this at 1st Pedmore Brownies. It took 2 years in total! The final step was to research a charity then raise money for it, which she did in support of guide dogs. Kate raised an amazing £250.00! An excellent achievement – well done Kate.

Last Day of Summer Term
A reminder that we break up for the summer holidays on Friday 21st July.
Sports Day
As you are aware, sports day is due to happen on Monday of next week. We will be keeping a close eye on the weather this weekend and will let you know as soon as possible if we need to cancel the event. The weather over the weekend doesn’t look good and by Monday the field may be completely soaked. Keep an eye on ParentMail on Sunday.
Last Year’s Books
If you want to have your child’s books from the last academic year, please send your child in with a strong carrier bag next week.
End of Year Reports
This year’s reports will be sent out, through ParentMail, on Monday of next week. There will be a drop-in, for anyone who wishes to discuss any concerns around their child’s report, on Tuesday 18th July, 3:45pm – 4:45pm.
