Ofsted Visit
As you are all aware we had a visit from Ofsted this week. Thank you to everyone who sent messages of support and to everyone who completed the ParentView questionnaire that the inspectors sent out. The results were overwhelmingly positive which is nice to hear. For those people who replied with concerns, come and talk to us. I appreciate you may not always agree with decisions made, but they are always done with the interests of the children at the forefront.
We can’t share the outcome of the results with anyone at the moment – the outcome is provisional and has to go through many layers of checks before a report is produced. The report itself is expected to be with us sometime in January. The bar has been set very high in this new framework and judgements are made across 8 different areas. There is no single-word judgement any longer.
If you would like further information around the new report card, please have a look at the link below.

Nativities in School
We’ve now had all our our Christmas nativity performances for Reception and Year 1 & 2. Thank you to everyone who came to support all of the performances – I’m sure you had a wonderful time watching your children.
Years 5&6 have their coffee and carols morning next week, on Tuesday morning, and Years 3&4 have their carol service at church on Thursday afternoon.
Snacks in School
A reminder that the only snacks we allow in school are fruit or vegetables – no snack bar, etc please. And no nut products in either snacks or lunchboxes. Can you also not send any utensils in with snacks please? No plastic/wooden forks and toothpics etc. Thank you.
KS2 Panto
KS2 children had a visit from Funtime Theatre pantomime company this week…a great time was had by all! Thank you to the PTA for funding the experience for children.

Forest School
This week I had the privilege of talking to Ofsted about our forest school provision and shared how the children embrace the experience so well and how important I feel these opportunities are for all children.
We also had our last Woodland Warriors session. Over these sessions the children have each made their own ‘fairy’ fires and toasted their own marshmallows on them. We also gather around the fire for stories and chats to support our wellbeing. These sessions are great for building resilience and developing strategies to help ourselves.
At weekends I also have our Santa Trail and this year will be my last time running them. We are sold out for this weekend but do have some availability for 20th December.
If you would like to come along please follow the link to book your tickets.
