Forest School

It’s been another busy week in the woods. Reception were joined by my colleague Kirsty and they looked at the life cycle of the butterfly, looking for caterpillars or signs of them.
They also made some beautiful butterflies.
It’s was a tad windy on Wednesday so Year 3 weren’t able to make little fires as we had planned but instead cut willow to make their own bows and arrows. Mastering the knots is definitely not easy but a great skill to learn.
I also challenged them to make a big ball run and together with the help of our work experience student together they made a huge one! Take a look at the video! Teamwork at its best.
We also had a second family afterscholl club. Always great family fun and all proceeds are going back into school to support therapeutic forest school for next year.
Take a look at my booking page for my next events
Have a lovely bank holiday weekend

SAFEGUARDING

Reduce Screen Time

Ever since the 1950`s, when televisions started to become a ubiquitous feature in UK homes, sitting and staring a screen has almost become a core component of British culture. With the advent of home computers this activity has only increased, and now the smartphone means everyone has a portable cinema, games system, and computer in their pocket.

See link below on how you can reduce screen time for you and your family.
