Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful, prosperous, healthy New Year.
Thank You
We are always overwhelmed with your generosity at this time of year. On behalf of all of us at Pedmore, I would like to say a big, heartfelt ‘THANK YOU’ to all of you for your gifts and cards and wishes. They really are very much appreciated, but never expected.
Christmas Events at Pedmore
Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Christmas events this year: Reception Nativity; KS1 Nativity; Year 3/4 Carol Service; Year 5 and Year 6 coffee and carols. It has been wonderful to see so many of you supporting us at school and we have raised lots of money for Acorns Hospice. We also have two wonderful Christingle services at school, led by David from St Peter’s. Ask your child, if they haven’t told you already, what was different about David when he came in!
Hagley Library Christmas Activities
There are a number of holiday activities happening at Hagley Library. You can find out more information here.
Compassion
Our value for this half term has been compassion. We are always amazed at the depth of understanding our children show. They often show compassion to others without being asked and this is wonderful to see. It’s lovely to see so many of our Pride certificates mention a child’s compassion to others. As the Dalai Lama says
โIf you want others to be happy, practice compassion.
If you want to be happy, practice compassion.โ

“And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.”
Luke 2:4-7
Forest School
We had the last of our forest school sessions this week, with a special celebration for KS1
Children followed the trail to find all the nativity characters, toasted marshmallows to malt s’mores, enjoyed hot chocolate around the fire and saw Santa in his cosy bell tent grotto!
It was such a lovely morning and a huge thank you to the PTA for funding this treat for the children.
I still have limited tickets for my Santa trail on Monday 23rd December. To book your slot please follow the link

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and I look forward to seeing you in the new year.
