Oh yes, it’s Star Wars day. Now, I know some of you really don’t like Star Wars but if, like me, some of you are of a certain age (and I’m talking mostly to parents here!) you will have been brought up with the original Star Wars films and they become part of what you remember. Has anyone watched lots of them whilst staying at home? Please share your stories and your favourite characters. In the upcoming radio show there is a Star Wars competition…keep your ears peeled…and may the force be with you.

Online Worship/Assemblies
If any of you would like to take part in any school acts of worship or assemblies, and maybe have a little sing, then the following may be of interest to you. They are being produced by school leaders and we will be using them in school.
“The first assembly will be released on Tuesday 5th May. We have chosen the time so children can tune in after Joe Wicks PE. The assemblies include a real life introduction, a song, a Bible story and, a reflective craft activity.”

Schools Re-Opening
Once again, the media is reporting varying stories about schools re-opening – if we took all of them as being true, then we would be open on 1st June, or mid-June, or September, for certain year groups, or all year groups on different days, for specific children, or non-specific children, for some or part or all of each day!
As I’ve said previously, we have received NO information about the re-opening of schools for more children. I am expecting to hear something this Sunday when everyone else does – if the government are true to form then we won’t hear anything before everyone else. We will share with you our plans as soon as we know more information. We have plans for some aspects of re-opening already; although, these are generic plans around hand-washing, sanitising, wellbeing etc, which we will also share with you when we have more information.
