Hello everyone, I hope you’re all keeping well 🙂 I also hope you managed to see the Dudley-wide firework display last night – well done Dudley Council on a great idea! There are quite a few things to update you on, so please do carry on reading.
Kitchen Closure
Thank you for sending your child in with a packed lunch today and I apologise for the late notice last night about the kitchen being closed.
Break the Rules Day
The children had a fun time on break the rules day before half term, and thanks to your generosity PTA raised over £400.00! Thank you 🙂
Foodbank Collection
Another thank you…this time for generously donating foodstuffs and toiletries as part of our Harvest celebrations.

A great amount was collected as you can see…thank you!
New Fencing on the School Field
The fencing on the school field is now all finished and we are really pleased with the look and the added extra security of the fence. We are still asking everyone, if possible, to carry on round the bridle path when dropping off and collecting children; however, if you wish to walk back down the field you can. The path can still be used to walk up as usual. The reason we would prefer everyone to use the bridle path to leave is that, over time, especially with the weather getting worse, the field may well become churned up with constant footfall. Not only that, it will be wet and muddy for the majority of the time until the Spring. Please consider using the bridle path instead.
New Test Centres
There are two new test centres that have been set up in Dudley for anyone requiring a Covid-19 test. These are in Flood Street, near to Dudley town centre, and in Jackson Street in Lye. More information can be found here.
Children in Need
We are supporting this year’s Children in Need Day on Friday 13th November. We are asking children to come in their own-choice P.E. kit for the day. Everyone in school will be joining in with Joe Wicks’ ‘The Big Morning Move’ – why don’t you join in at home too? The link is here. We will happily share your videos from home on the school website should you wish to send one in of you joining in! We will have buckets on both school entrances should you wish to donate.
Remembrance
This year, as every year, we will be holding our Remembrance assemblies in school, in each class. We won’t be selling poppies in school this year, but we will be making a donation from school to the Royal British Legion.
Flu Vaccination Consent Forms
If you haven’t already, please send in your form regarding flu vaccinations, whether you consent to your child having one or not. The closing date for return of forms is Wednesday 11th November.
Girls’ Uniform
Please accept my apologies for any confusion regarding girls’ school uniform. The policy on the website was the newer one; the policy in the handbook wasn’t! Girls’ trouser option is grey, but if you already have navy blue trousers then these can be worn until they no longer fit.
