It’s Getting Closer…
"Love one another, as I have loved you." John 13:34

Christmas, that is! For many people, this is the weekend where all the Christmas decorations get put up; so if that’a what you’re up to this weekend I hope you have a great time! We have quite a bit to inform you of this week, especially as there was no blog last week. Here we go…

Christmas Fayre

Thank you to everyone who helped organise, support and attend our Christmas Fayre last Friday – it was a lovely event and a great success. We raised an amazing £1,381.47! Thank you to the PTA and everyone involved.

Thank You gif Free

Children in Need

Thanks to your kind donations we raised £167.03 for Children in Need.

Flu Vaccination

We have been asked to send out the following survey link for your views on the flu vaccination programme in school. You can complete the survey here.

We have spoken to the flu vaccination nurse and they are holding a catch-up clinic on Monday 20th December. If you would like to book an appointment, their contact number is 01384 431712 and the clinic is Vaccination UK, Ladies Walk Centre, Priory Lane, Sedgley, Dudley, DY3 3UA.

Pedmore Thrive

This week’s Pedmore Thrive focuses on racism and its impact on mental health. You can find a copy here.

Christmas Jumpers for lunch next week

Next Wednesday is Christmas Lunch Day in school. Your child can wear a Christmas jumper over their school uniform if they would like to.

Library Competition

Well done! Thank you to all the children who took part in ‘The Story of my Life’ book cover competition. The winners are: Judyta, Yahya, Arjun T, Dylan K, Maia, Winnie, Charlie BS. Their wonderful book covers will be on display in the KS2 library for all to see, next week. Our overall winner is Judyta who created a beautiful cover based on Coco Chanel. Judyta will be receiving her book token next week.
The Librarians

Christmas CD

We have been recording our songs for our Christmas CD this week…and all the classes sound amazing! We will be sending out details of how you can purchase a copy of the CD next week. They will be priced at £5.00 each. Thank you to everyone who completed the form to say how many they might purchase. If you haven’t done this already, you can complete the form here. Please don’t complete it again if you have already responded.

Redlake Road Closure

Redlake Road will be closed to traffic on Monday 6th December until Wednesday 8th December, from 9:30am until 3:30pm each day. Please make allowances for this, especially at the end of the day.

Home Learning

If your child is having to isolate at home, then you will find home learning for them to complete on the school website, as you could before. The link is here.

PTA 100 Club

You can see November’s 100 Club draw, and the winning numbers, at the link here.

Christmas Cards

If your child would like to send any Christmas cards to anyone in their class, then can you please send them in with your child before Friday 10th December. We will then distribute them in the last week of term.

Parking on Hagley Road

If you are dropping your child off at breakfast club, or collecting from after-school club, please do not park on the pavement blocking the school entrance or the drive of the house next door. Thank you.

Covid PCR Test

If you take your child for a PCR test then they can return to school whilst you await results, unless your child is showing symptoms. If they have any symptoms, then you should keep them at home until the results come back. If you refuse to take your child for a PCR, and we believe that by being in school your child could pose a transmission risk to others, then we will expect your child to self-isolate for 10 days before returning to school. I appreciate that these are difficult circumstances we are in currently, but we have to do everything we can to keep our school community safe and lessen all risks of transmission wherever possible.

Handing in Found Property

If you find any lost property on your way to school, please hand it in to a member of staff on the gate in a morning, or pass to the office at the end of the day. Thank you.
