"Love one another, as I have loved you." John 13:34

Made it! A big

to everyone!

You did it! After 6 weeks of home learning, which I know have been a mixture of all sorts of emotions and challenges and successes, we are at half term. This means a holiday! Now, I know we can’t actually go anywhere on holiday (although you could set up a small sandy beach area in your garden) but it’s good to try to get into ‘holiday mode’ nevertheless. So, whatever you decide to do this half term, please try everything you can to smile and have as much fun as possible.

World Book Day

World Book Day takes place on Thursday 4th March. Whilst it will be a very different event to the ones we normally hold in school, we would still like you to enjoy this day with your children. Class teachers will be planning book activities for children in their Home Learning and we would also like to draw your attention to the following link https://www.worldbookday.com/events/  where your child can watch live book events from 3rd -5th March. Each event starts at 10.30am and lasts approximately 30 minutes.
As a celebration of the day we would like you to photograph your child reading a book in an unusual place. Please upload these onto your class Teams area ‘Additional Work’. These photographs will be displayed in the school library on our return to school. You will be welcome to view them and our fabulous library when we can welcome you back into school.
Book Tokens will be given to children this year via a digital link. They are valid up to 28th March 2021.  The range of books children are able to purchase for £1 are listed here: https://www.worldbookday.com/books/

The digital link to the token is below:

Pedmore Thrive

This week’s Pedmore Thrive newsletter can be found here.

Lent at Home

Lent starts this year during half term week, on Wednesday 17th February. We will be sharing some ideas of things you can do at home over the coming weeks, but if you would like to do some activities at home in the coming week there are some lovely ideas here. We will be using this document more over the coming weeks.

Car Park Entrance

A reminder that if you are accessing school, or pre-school, through the staff car park, please make sure that your child is not running around or ‘rolling over the bonnets’ of cars. We have had some reports of this happening and, obviously, we don’t want any damage to cars. Thank you.
