First Summer Friday Update
"Love one another, as I have loved you." John 13:34

What a beautiful day it is today, and what a beautiful weekend we have in store too! Make the most of all the sunshine…

It’s been a really good week back in school and hopefully we are well on the way to things being back to ‘normal’ – if any of us can remember what that looks like. Everything is the same in school, in regards to safety procedures, and things are likely to stay that way for the foreseeable future. The LA have informed schools that all measures will remain in place, including any gatherings/events not being allowed. This makes it difficult for us to plan anything for the summer term, including things, for example, like a summer fayre, but we will keep you fully updated as and when we are notified of any changes.

Not too many things to tell you about this week; have a great weekend!

Pedmore Thrive

The latest version of Mrs Robbins’ Pedmore Thrive Newsletter can be found here. A reminder that there is a huge amount of information that you may find helpful on the SEND area of the school website.

Safeguarding

The school e-safety page has regular updates on all things to do with keeping your child safe online. On the page is the latest copy of DITTO magazine which is worth reading for latest information about everything online! There is also a new portal for parents set up by the London Grid for Learning. This has a wealth of information and is definitely worth a look.

Parking

We have been asked by the Post Office next to school, to ask parents not to park outside there when dropping off and picking up children at school. Thank you.

Arts, Crafts and Cultural Activities

Girls’ Football with Stourbridge Ladies FC

We at Stourbridge are proud to announce we have set up our very own Wildcats Centre. This initiative which is set up and funded through The FA, is to help bring new girls aged 5-11 into football before entering a team setting. If you would like to find out more about Wildcats, I will leave the link below: https://www.thefa.com/womens-girls-football/get-involved/girls/fun/wildcats.

Our sessions will be starting this Saturday at Pedmore High School in Stourbridge at 9:30-10:30AM. The first session you attend will be FREE and it only costs £2.50 after that. This is a great opportunity to get younger girls involved with football and be a part of a growing change across society. No contracts. No obligations. We just want smiles and happiness.

If you know any girl aged 5-11 that would like to join our Wildcats Centre, please do get in touch or book straight on via the online portal (link below). Share with friends, family and work colleagues and help us build a platform for girls to thrive within football.

I have also attached our poster for your viewing.
