a
Christmas!
"Love one another, as I have loved you." John 13:34

Well, here we are – we made it! However, it’s currently throwing it down with rain…I don’t remember that being on the Christmas list. Talking of Christmas, can I please take this opportunity to say that it was definitely NOT me dressed up as Santa earlier this week when Reception and KS1 had their virtual Santa visit. I was actually in the classroom at the same time with Reception, which pretty much does prove it I think! Although, not according to some Year 1 children…

Thank you all for your support over this term…September seems such a long time ago and such a lot has happened since then. Children have coped remarkably well with all the changes and really do seem to be happy in school, which is all we want. The Government are currently updating everything (it seems, they are averaging 4 document updates per day), although a lot of it at the moment is aimed at Secondary schools. As always, we will keep you updated with anything that affects us.

Some end-of-year bits and pieces to update you on; links to our Christmas TV specials (!); the latest PTA 100 club draw; and other stuff too.

Staff changes

Mrs Homer, who has been deputy at Pedmore since 2013, will not be returning to work with us. She has been off for a long time due to health issues, and her health has not improved enough for her to return to work. She will therefore be leaving officially at the end of December. It is always difficult when decisions about your working life are taken out of your hands, and Mrs Homer was desperate to be able to return to school. This has proven not to be possible and we would like to take this opportunity to thank her for the years she has worked at Pedmore and to wish her all the very best for the future.

We welcome a new learning support assistant to Pedmore. Ms Rix has joined us this week and she is settling in really well.

PTA 100 club

The latest 100 club draw, as well as the 12 days of Christmas draws, are all on the PTA page on the school website. Make sure you have a look!

Nativities and Christmas Show

The bit you’ve all been waiting for! Links to view Reception and KS1 nativities and a special Christmas show have been sent out by ParentMail. The children have worked really hard on these and they are well worth a watch!

P.S. See if you can spot the deliberate mistake!

Christmas Gifts

Thank you yo everyone who has donated to school or sent a gift this year. I appreciate it’s been a difficult time for everyone, but it really is appreciated by all staff.

And finally…

Wishing you all a wonderful, relaxing Christmas and everything crossed for a better New Year.

Take Care & Stay Safe
