Another 3 weeks…
"Love one another, as I have loved you." John 13:34

Hello!

I hope you all had an enjoyable Easter – it was certainly a different one to any we had experienced previously! So, we’re like this for at least another 3 weeks, although it seems like the past 4 weeks have gone relatively quickly. I appreciate that some of you may not agree with that though!

We are starting a new term, the summer one, and I’m sure we are all wondering what it will bring. Will we all be away from school for the whole term? Will we be all back at school soon? What will it feel like if we’re not? All these, and many other questions, will be popping up all of the time for many of us. Whilst I can’t answer any of these questions (and, believe it or not, we find out things at the same time as you do!), I can say that we will be doing everything possible to help you with dealing with whatever happens as much as we can. There will always be someone available in school should you have any concerns – any concerns about anything. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need to.

It won’t be forever and while everyone at school is missing you all, we know that eventually things will return to ‘normal’ – whatever that was anyway!

Some of you may have seen the Sunday Times headline today about plans for schools to return in 3 weeks. It does talk about a return in 3 weeks being one of the plans being looked at by the government; it also talks about returns later in the term and also in September as being looked at. It would be remiss of the powers-that-be to not be looking at a range of scenarios – please don’t take it as gospel that we will be returning in 3 weeks time. The DfE, within an hour last night of the Sunday Times front page being released, put out the message that no decisions had been made about schools’ return. As soon as we know, we will let you know!

As a school, we continue to remain open for children of key workers who have no other form of childcare. Staff will continue to put work and activities on each class page on the school website as we have been doing. Please continue to keep sending in your messages and pictures for the challenge page of the website – we really have got lots on there now and it’s great to see – thank you!

Pedmore Airwaves

The first school radio show is now recorded! Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible to record it with the children as presenters – that is definitely something that will be happening with future shows once we are back at school. In the meantime, you’ll have to put up with my voice! The show is under the children’s tab on the menu bar…https://www.pedmore.dudley.sch.uk/pedmore-airwaves/

See you soon!
