Ofsted Report

As you know, we had our Ofsted inspection before Christmas. We’ve now had our final report back. You can see it at the link below.

The video below is worth watching first. It’s only 3 minutes and it explains the changes to the new Ofsted framework and what the new standards mean. Single word judgements have now gone and new language is being used.

As you can see from the video, the bar has been raised quite considerably, although I feel the language they are using for the new standards doesn’t really explain where each school is at.

The difference in this framework is now that it’s no longer a ‘best fit’ approach to each area. There are a number of statements to be achieved for each standard, and if you don’t achieve all of the statements, you drop into the standard below.

Have a look.

Igloo!

Year 1 have built an igloo out of cuboids that they made from nets!

Great work Year 1!

Year 5 Art

A couple of examples below of some art work that Year 5 have been doing, based on the artist Sunga Park…and her inspiration from the architecture of Anthoni Gaudi.

I’m sure you’ll agree these are fantastic!

Year 1 Art

Some more examples of art work, this time from Year 1. Their art was based on the artist Joan Miro.

More fantastic art work from the children – well done Year 1!

Old Clothes Plea

Can you help please?
If you are having a clear out or your child has had a growth spurt, I would be really grateful for any old jumpers or fleeces and thick socks that you may no longer need.
As you many of you know, I am working with lots of children through my community interest company and these donations would really help them in these colder months.
If you could drop off to school for me, or leave on my doorstep for those who live locally to me, it would be gratefully received and appreciated.
Many thanks
