Who has been doing all the singing? Rain everywhere…drains have been filling up quicker than they can drain away, which has meant a lot more water down on the path by the field. Hopefully things will dry up soon. Have a good weekend and see you all next week.

Remembrance Service in School

On Monday of this week we held our remembrance service in school. It was led by Revd Andrew Sillis, who is the vicar at St Thomas’ church in Market Street in Stourbridge. He is helping us out by covering some services in school and in St Peter’s until a new vicar is in place at St Peter’s. Children also have done some work around remembrance of which some is displayed in school. You can see the display below.

Santa Jog

Dear Parents/Carers,

Every year  Mary Stevens Hospice organise a Santa Jog in Mary Stevens Park and for the last 6 years I have organised a team of Santa’s to join in.

It is a 5km course and it is very relaxed and you can run or walk and is open to everyone!

I already have a great team already signed up but it would be great if we could get as many families involved.

As I am sure you are aware the hospice provides a vital service to us locally and many of us will know of someone that has accessed their care.

I have been working voluntarily with the Bereavement Team at the hospice to provide forest school sessions for children, which have been really well received and more funding will allow us to offer greater support and fund resources required.  It is events like the Santa Jog helps fund bereavement care for all ages as well the all important inpatient care.

If you would like to join our team then please join the WhatsApp group via the QR code below where you can see all the details.

I will organise all entries with the hospice,  collect suits and arrange delivery.  I will also set up a fundraising page that you can share with family and friends if you would like to sponsor you.

Entry cost is  £12 adult, £10 child, £8 dogs.

If you would like to join us, please join the WhatsApp group by 21st November.

Many thanks

Ruth Hill
