Spook Your Worries Away

Have a look at this flyer for information about some workshops, run by Reflexions, to help manage worries.

School Vision

This is our school vision – this is what we believe is the right way for us to behave towards each other, and treat each other in school and at home. Everything we do in school, and the decisions we make, has our school vision at its heart. Have a chat with your child about their understanding of our vision and, if you get chance, please complete the quick survey at the link below. Thank you.

Forest School

The resilience Year 1 showed this week in Forest school was unbelievable!

Heavy persistent rain all day did not deter them from having a great time.

The mud pit was perfect for jumping in and the laughter was infectious!

Children also had a go at using a fire striker and many were able to light some cotton wool. The sense of achievement was great to see.

Connecting children to nature and providing children of all ages to play, discover and create outside  in a way that they choose has shown to have a positive impact both on a child’s development but also their health and well-being.

Being outside in the cold and rain also strengthens a child’s immune system but it is important that they have adequate layers so they don’t get cold, so please do send your child in with extra clothes, especially socks!

This week we started forest church too where each week a class will take their worship outside and keeping the school value at the heart will celebrate the wonder of our natural world.

Next week I’m really excited about welcoming reception to Forest school for the first time! They will love it I’m sure!

Have a great weekend.
