Christmas Tree Festival

As we said last week, we had loads of children and families who got involved with our gingerbread decoration making for the Christmas Tree Festival at St Peter’s. And guess what…we won! The mayor of Dudley chose Pedmore’s trees as the best decorated…so a big well done and thank you to you all!

Poppy Appeal

Our poppy appeal donations raised an amazing £226.32. Thank you!

Measles

Measles cases are on the rise locally, with confirmed cases in Birmingham. The NHS is calling on you to check your child’s MMR vaccination status.

Measles can lead to serious complications, but two doses of the MMR vaccine provide lifelong protection.

Protect your children’s health, contact your GP to catch up on any missed vaccinations.

More information here and here.

Forest School

Year 2 have been enjoying their time in Forest school and haven’t let the weather beat them.

They love to help and have been great at caring for the site, loading the wheelbarrow with chippings and spreading on the paths. Together they worked out a plan on how to efficiently work as a team to get the job done!

With the cold weather setting in, they have learnt about hibernation and created homes for the woodland animals.

Plus of course the mud pit and mud  kitchen have been busy with bridges made as well as those in the pit supplying mud for those in the kitchen to her cooking!

Year 2 are also avid performers and each week we have been treated to some great shows. All completely led by the children.

I have had a trainee Forest school leader working with me this half term and it’s been great to see how welcoming and supportive the children have been with her.

Thanks Year 2 for a great term and il see you in January for your last session!
