Coram Beanstalk
Our school is currently working with a charity called Coram Beanstalk, who enable children to grow a love for reading and in turn improve their attainment across the curriculum, their confidence and well-being. Over the past 50 years, they have developed our expertise in making this happen.
Coram Beanstalk help children become readers; ensuring all children get the wider support they need to switch on to reading and become confident, independent readers. The Reading helpers are trained in a proven approach and will lead sessions for each child that bring fun and enjoyment to the reading experience, ultimately wanting the child to choose to read and be enthusiastic about it!

School Songs and Hymns
We’ve asked children to speak to adults at home to find out if they can remember any songs they sang at primary school. We’ve had lots of suggestions so far – if you can remember any, and haven’t let us know yet, please send those songs in with your child! We are working on something for later in the year.

Crossing the Road
A number of parents, and a school governor, have shown concern over the amount of families not using the main crossing on the Hagley Road, and crossing the road at other points instead. Please consider this when crossing the road – using the main crossing is not only safer, it also reinforces the message to children about crossing roads safely. Thank you.
