It’s really gone cold this week…first day the other day with ice on the windscreen! Although we have had some lovely crisp mornings too – proper Autumn mornings. I hope you all had a good half term break and now we’re in the run-in towards Christmas. It will be on us before we know it! Not too much to share this week; see you all again next Friday.

The latest edition of Pedmore Thrive can be found here. Lots of good information this week focused on social media.
Great Year 6 Writing
We don’t often share details of children’s work through our newsletter or through our website, but this is something we will be looking to change. Year 6, through their class book Rooftoppers, have been exploring emotion and writing from a character’s point of view. Miss Troth has been working with the class very sensitively around one aspect of the book, which involves loss of a loved one. The children in Year 6 have written some absolutely incredible poems, which you will be able to see here on the website, under the ‘Children’ menu, at some point over the weekend. Please find a few minutes of your time to read through some of them; they are full of emotion and really tug at your heart strings.
Climate Change Festival
Our Year 6 Ambassadors have been working on a display focused on their hopes for the future. You can see the display of their work this weekend at St Thomas’ Church in Market Street, Stourbridge. You can see details on the poster here.
Bonfire Night
If you are going to/hosting a bonfire and fireworks this weekend, please keep yourselves safe. Children have been telling me today how I need to keep safe, so I will be following their advice! You can find more information here.
