We’ve seen some sun! We’re at half term and the weather for next week is looking much better – so here’s to hoping everyone has a great break and we don’t need to put the central heating on!
We’ve had a good half term in school and it seems to have gone really quickly. Before we know where we are it will be the summer holidays! ?
After the break, all the procedures in school will still be the same as now; we have been advised that there will some further direction on the 9th June. What that will look like and whether there will be any changes we don’t know, but as soon as we do we will let you know.
Have a great half term, whatever you are doing.

Sports Day
We have planned a sports day in school for all of the children, weather permitting. Unfortunately, we are unable to invite any parents or carers to share this with us this year. Obviously, if any rules change and we are able to, we will let you know. the date we have put in the diary is 14th June. We will be asking all children to come in their house-colour t-shirt on that day.
Saying ‘Goodbye’
Today is the last day at Pedmore for two of our lunchtime supervisors – Mrs Hawthorne and Mrs Woodall. Both have been with us for a number of years (Mrs Hawthorne 13!) and it is with great sadness that we are saying ‘goodbye’ today. We would like to take this opportunity to wish them both the very best for the future.

EU Settlement Scheme
With the EU Settlement Scheme application deadline (30th June) fast approaching, the Home Office would appreciate your continued support in reminding parents, families, young people and staff that if they are an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen, they and their family members may be eligible to apply to the Settlement Scheme. It is crucial that eligible parents apply to the Scheme themselves and check whether they need to do so on behalf of their children. Eligible children are required to have an application in their own right and no child of any age is covered by a parent’s application to the EUSS. There’s more information on this here on GOV.UK. Additional guidance, in a clear EUSS leaflet has been produced by the University of Liverpool, in partnership with the Home Office. It has been designed with children in mind and is intended to support both children and parents with information to help them apply to the EUSS. A set of accompanying FAQs are available too. A list of organisations providing additional EUSS guidance and information is available here. Applications to the EUSS are free and can be made online at www.gov.uk/eusettlementscheme
