Christmas is nearly upon us…however different a Christmas it may turn out to be! There are lots of Christmas activities going on in school at the moment, and next week we are hoping to share some of our Christmas cheer with you all. The children have been fantastic in everything they’ve done, and also have worked incredibly hard to make sure we all have some memories to share.
Last Day of Term
As we sent out earlier this week, we will NOT be closing a day earlier for Christmas, as you may have seen in the media. School will be open as normal next Friday, 18th.
Christmas Lunch
We had a lovely, festive Christmas lunch on Wednesday of this week. Lots of laughter and Christmas music – have a look at some of the pictures!
PTA on the Website
Our school PTA have started adding information to their page on the school website. You can find it here. Make sure you check in regularly!
Absence
Please, when contacting school about your child’s absence, give us as much detail as possible. Unfortunately, “My child is poorly” isn’t enough detail for us to be able to authorise absence. Whilst we appreciate the need for confidentiality, and information is never shared unless it has to be, we do need to record a specific reason for the absence, or the absence has to be recorded as unauthorised.
Self-Isolation News
As you may have seen on the news this afternoon, the change to the isolation period for contacts has reduced from 14 days to 10 days from Monday 14th December.
Self-isolation periods will begin on the day after exposure, a test or the start of symptoms.
Guitar Lessons
We have had some guitar demonstrations in school this week, from C# Music School. If your child is interested in taking up this instrument please contact C# Music. https://www.csharpmusicschool.co.uk
