A Covid Update (and other stuff)
"Love one another, as I have loved you." John 13:34

We are well into the second full week now and children have settled into the ‘new normal’ very well. It’s surprising how quickly children settle into things and how, quite often, it is us as adults who have more concerns than they do! As I have said previously, it’s great to hear so many children laughing and playing in school and every time I’ve popped into classrooms I’ve seen so many smiling faces.

There are a few items I’m sharing with you in this post; please read everything – I know there’s a lot.

This is a Message We’ve Been Asked to Share With Parents.

The leader of Dudley Council has issued a stark warning today, after recorded Covid-19 cases almost doubled in the borough last week. Residents are being called upon to reduce household transmission by staying apart wherever possible.

Remote Learning Plan

As part of our ongoing review of procedures, please read the following document regarding any home learning if a child, or group of children, are self-isolating at home. This is our initial plan, and may change or develop over time. You can read the plan here.

Dropping Off and Collecting Children

Thank you for working with us this week as we’ve tweaked timings for the start and end of the day. Things have gone really well and the process now seems to be much quicker. A couple of things we would ask: please don’t congregate to chat at either of the entrances into school. This makes it difficult for other parents to get past and doesn’t adhere to social distancing guidelines. Please don’t park across drives, on double-yellow lines and in bus bays etc. This will help to keep our children safe. And finally, please don’t bring dogs onto the school field when dropping off or collecting children. We don’t allow dogs on school property and the filed is still part of that. Thank you.

Take Care and Stay Safe
