I hope that you have had a fantastic week. It has been a great week here and there are lots of things to share with you this week in our newsletter.
Over the past week or so, we have chosen all of our school council, eco council, worship council, and ambassadors in all classes. These pupils have put themselves forward and have shown great leadership qualities and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in our school community. We are confident that they will represent their classes with great pride and responsibility. Well done to all!
Wishing you all a restful weekend – see you next week!
We have been experiencing some issues with parking. It has come to our attention that some parents have been parking in restricted areas, causing inconvenience and potential hazards for other parents and children. Please can you make sure you are not parking on double-yellow lines, or zigzags, or parking over someone’s drive when dropping off or picking up your children. We all want to keep all of our children safe. Thank you.
All information regarding reading, phonics and handwriting is available on the school website for you to access at home. This is on the children dropdown > class pages > ‘Reception class page’ and ‘Reading’.
The Next Two Weeks
For the next two weeks I have been called for jury service. Mrs Dowen will be available in school and stepping up to be in charge!
Bookbags and Rucksacks
We gave each child a book bag to bring to school. These book bags fit in the school trays as there is little room in classrooms, especially with weather changing and more big coats coming in. PLEASE DO NOT send your child in with a rucksack – we do not have the room to keep them in classrooms. Thank you.
The latest version of Happy News includes some information of the world’s best school, which may be in Wales. Obviously, we would argue differently! Latest issue can be found here.
A reminder that we have a fabulous bike shelter at the top of the field. If you child wants to ride their bike or scooter to school then you can leave it locked up in the bike shelter ready to ride home at the end of the day!

PE kits are normally sent home every half term. If you want to have them home more regularly than that, your child can bring their PE kit home on a Friday. This means they can be washed over the weekend and brought back into school on a Monday.
A reminder of keeping safe on social media can be found here. Worth a read and sharing with your children.
Our first parents’ evenings of the new academic year will be held on Tuesday 3rd & Wednesday 4th October. Both days will have time slots from 4:00-7:00pm. Look out next week for more details and how you can book a slot to see your child’s teacher.
