It’s cold! The winter weather has well and truly hit us this week – make sure when you’re out-and-about this weekend you all wrap up very warm!
This Half-Term’s Value
This half term we are focusing on the value of perseverance – keeping going and not giving up when things get hard. Very little that is really worthwhile in life can be achieved without perseverance. Have a chat with your child about what we’ve discussed about perseverance in assemblies and worship this week.

Pedmore Cricket Club
Pedmore Cricket Club are looking for support with our amazing All Stars and Dynamos sessions. These are crucial in supporting new cricketers into the sport and developing those key skills, all whilst having lots of fun.
If you’d be interested in supporting our sessions please let us know. There is no experience required and all training, equipment, and activity information is provided. It’s an amazing way to share any knowledge you have, learn some new skills, and inspire the next generation of Pedmore CC.
You will attend an evening session to get the basics of running a session and meet lots of other people doing the same role as you around the county. Our sessions are Friday nights and you, along with a great team of volunteers, will run fun and engaging sessions planned by the ECB.
For more information or if you feel you could help, please contact office@pedmorecc.com

The Big Ambition – Children’s Commissioner for England
“I hope everyone at Pedmore CE Primary School enjoyed the much-needed Christmas break. I just wanted to offer my final thanks for your support with my national campaign ‘The Big Ambition’ which will be closing this Friday 19th January.
I have been overwhelmed by the response the survey has received. Over 300,000 children, young people, parents and carers have participated, making it one of the largest surveys of its kind!
This is the final push to hear from even more children before the survey closes, it is so important that every child in England has an opportunity to tell policy makers what they want and need ahead of the General Election.
By sharing my survey with your pupils and parents or carers you can make sure that the children and young people of Dudley are fairly represented in the results.
Children and parents or carers can complete the survey here: www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/thebigambition
I am so very grateful for your support, and I am beyond excited to share the findings.”
Very best,
Dame Rachel De Souza

Utterly Dark and the Face of the Deep – Philip Reeve
Utterly was only a baby when she was found on the beach by Wildsea’s Watcher. But after he mysteriously dies, Utterly must take on the role of Watcher – to watch the ocean for the sea monster, The Gorm. Although, maybe the enemy is not what she thinks…
This book is good for people who love action/fantasy books. I give this book 10/10!
