Fostering in Dudley
Dudley MBC are looking to recruit foster carers across the Dudley Borough. Foster care plays a vital part in so many children’s and young people’s lives. In Dudley, the need for foster carers is greater than ever. Please see the leaflet here, taking the first steps into becoming a foster carer.

Parking on Zigzags
PLEASE don’t park on the zigzags outside the school gates. They are there as a safe zone for school; you risk causing an accident to a child if you continue to park on them. Please don’t do it. Thank you.
Charity Fundraising Success
Sophie, in Year 5, has been raising money for the RSPCA as part of her Gold Award with Brownies. Over £100.00 raised – well done Sophie!
Jewellery
A reminder that the only items of jewellery allowed in school are stud earrings (1 pair) and watches. Smart watches, which can phone/text or take photographs, are not allowed. Thank you.
Spell Stoppers – Cat Grey
This book is super-cool because every chapter leaves you on a cliff-hanger and reminds me of my best memories!
Marri-Alice, Year 6
The Colour of Hope – Ross MacKenzie
This was a good book because it has a lot of plot twists. I recommend this book for people who like mystery cases!
Elsie, Year 6
Forest School
Year 2 are loving their forest school sessions this term. They definitely embrace everything it has to offer and enjoy the mud pit to create bridges and obstacle courses.
Autumn is a great time of year for beautiful colours and the children have been really creative making pictures using the natural resources that they could find.
To mark remembrance day the children made their own wooden poppies, learing how to use a palm drill safely to make holes in their wood and were then able to create their poppy as they wished.
Snacks and stories around the fire are always a hit and this week the children enjoyed toasting apple slices dipped in sugar to make their own toffee apples.

Forest Church
St Peter’s Church runs forest church regularly in the grounds of the church and each term I provide my support voluntarily for them by holding forest church in the woodland at school.
This Sunday we shall be hosting a Magical Forest Church at school and there are a few places left for families to join us. Children will be able to play and make a craft and then we shall all come together around the fire for worship, story, song and of course a snack and hot drinks for everyone.
There is no charge but you will need to book your place via this link https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/fruits-of-the-forest
I look forward to seeing you there.
